VERDUNO PELAVERGA D.O.C.
A rare and old Piedmontese wine, grown on the hills of Verduno from where it gets its origin denomination. A light ruby red colour with a pink hint, assuming an orange tinge when aged. A rich and spicy fragrance with a cherry scent when young. A spicy fragrance of white pepper can be detected. Excellent with cured meats, first courses and dishes with mushrooms. It should be consumed at a temperature of 17/18°C. This wine has been made and bottled by oenologist Paolo Torchio.

Zone of production: Verduno
and some territories of the countries of Roddi and La Morra.
Vine: 85-100% Pelaverga Piccolo, 0-15% grape with non aromatic red berry, recommended or authorized for the province of Cuneo %
Maximum grape production: 90
q./ha. = 8.400 bott. 0.75 l./ha.
Maximum yield: 70 %.
Ageing: Verduno Pelaverga wine cannot be consumed until the1st of March after harvesting.
Colour: quite a full ruby red colour with cherryish and violet tinges.
Fragrance: intense, fragrant, fruity with spicy characteristics.
Taste: dry and fresh, characteristically velvety and harmonic.
