Pelaverga D.O.C.


A typical old Piedmontese wine, grown on the hills of Verduno from where it gets its origin denomination. A light brillant red colour with a pink hint, assuming an orange tinge when aged. A rich and spicy fragrance with a cherry scent when young. A spicy fragrance of white pepper can be detected. Excellent with cured meats, first courses and dishes with mushrooms. It should be consumed at a temperature of 17/18°C.

Maximum yield 70%.
Ageing Verduno Pelaverga wine cannot be consumed until the 1st of March after harvesting.
Colour quite a full brilliant red colour with cherryish and violet tinges.
Fragrance intense, fragrant, fruity with spicy characteristics.
Taste dry and fresh, characteristically velvety and harmonic.
Alcohol volume 13,5/14,5 %.
Minimum acidity total 5 ‰.
Minimum dry net extract 18 g./l.
Complements all kind of meals salumi, mushrooms, fish.
Duration in years 2-3
Serving temp 16°-18° C.
